Virginia hires London
The Virginia Cavaliers have hired the Richmond Spiders Mike London to become their next head coach.
London ironically is a former member of Al Groh’s staff at Virginia, making the hire slightly uncomfortable.
That said, both sides saw the move as a good fit, as London has proven himself while at Richmond.
He helped lead the Spiders to the national championship in I-AA just two years ago and led them to the playoffs again last year.
London had been rumored to be a prime candidate for the job but some time but continued to say he loved life at his alma mater.
